We Will Blow Out These Candles

Advent day nineteen waiting.  What was God thinking?  His Son dying?  For what?  A sinner such as I?  Yes! —But there is another reason.  God’s Son is King but who is to come to the coronation?—those that wait expectantly for His return by silently waiting with candles to renew their commitment, by faith, to their King.  He is King in our hearts, by faith, but there will come a day when we will behold Him face to face at His coronation and blowing out our candles bask in His light and sing;

All hail the power of Jesus’ name!

Let angels prostrate fall;

bring forth the royal diadem,

and crown Him Lord of all.
