Adoration 25

“Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.”  “Yes I am coming quickly.”  Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.  The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.  Amen.””
Revelation 1:3; 22:20-21

Christmas is about “living like you were dying” (Tim McGraw).  When God took in His first breath that first morning He, for the first time, knew what it felt like to know that eventually he would “breathe His last.”   In every age there is lots of speculation about the end times.  Jesus didn’t know when those times would be no more than we do today.  What He did know and we should as well; these may not be “the last days” but they are certainly our last days.  Let the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ help us to live like we were dying.  May our love for God and our love for each other be our Merry Christmas to the world.

God I am grateful!!!

Merry Christmas

Adoration 24

“And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments.”;  “Beloved, you are acting faithfully…”; “you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints”
II John 6, III John 5, Jude 3

Christmas is about God allowing us to be good news of great joy.  To follow His commandments, to act faithfully and to compete sincerely for our faith in Him, we must love God and love others in everyway, at every moment, with everything that we are.  The world will know that we bring “good news of great joy” when we walk “according to His commandments” to love Him and love others.

God I am grateful that You allow me to be good new of great joy to Your world.  Please help me!!!

Adoration 23

“and I will show you my faith by my works.”;  “So that the proof of your faith…may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”;  “through the true knowledge of Him…”;  “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that  you have eternal life.”
James 2:18, I Peter 1:7, II Peter 1:3, I John 5:13

Christmas is about being changed.  When we are saved we begin to act in works of a different nature, works done out of a heart filled with praise, glory and honor for Him who saved us.  This “true knowledge of Him”, the new life of works of faith for His glory is the greatest evidence that we have been saved.

God I am grateful you changed me!!!

Adoration 22

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God…accurately handling the word of truth.”;  “that you would set in order what remained…”; “I (Paul) hear of your love…toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints”; “And He (Jesus) is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature.”
II Timothy 2:15, Titus 1:5, Philemon 1:5, Hebrews 1:3

Christmas is about the way to peace.  The entire world seeks peace in our tragic disorder.  Christmas is God saying “This is who I AM is” The world cannot know peace until they see the Prince of Peace, the exact representation of God’s nature, lived out in the lives of those He has redeemed.  Those who present themselves approved, who daily live the truth to love God and love our neighbors as ourselves.  It is our setting the world in order.

God I am grateful that You have given to us the ministry of ordering what remains, the order of reconciliation.

Adoration 21

“…in Him (Christ) you have been made complete”;  “God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep”;  “May the Lord direct your heart into the love of God”  “in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.”

Colossians 2:9, I Thessalonians 4:14, II Thessalonians 3:5, I Timothy 4:12

Christmas is about being born again.  As humans we are all incomplete.  Christ makes us complete in two ways,
1.    He frees us from death the ultimate “falling asleep”
2.    He fills our hearts with love
These two gifts allow us to live a complete life filled with love, faith and purity.

God I am grateful You have offered each of us, “me-completeness”.
