98.6 Degrees, Your Lucky Number

Choose you this day blesses or curses.  Reading in Deuteronomy.  Every human today will be the recipient of blessings.  The world continually refills our oxygen supply, our hearts beat, the sun is warm, love is a choice we get, it rains, light will create color all day, children produce grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren, tides will come in and out, we can smell, leaves change color by themselves and the best I can come up with this morning is; our spouses body is a radiant 98.6°.

Well Someone is choosing blessings and giving them to me, free.  A little skip in my step is coming today.

Cue smiles!

My four contributions to my Mamaw's great, great grandchildren!

May The You Be Against The Force, for Someone cares

Great and small forces act on us continually.  Forces of nature, it is cold this morning, to forces of morality, you will face seduction today.  It seems that all these forces, though universal, are personally directed toward me because each seems to have a list of responses available that will better or worsen my character.  It seems that the very universe and all its laws were designed to give me a single choice, choose good or choose bad.  There even lies a seduction in that choice, bad seems somehow the slicker choice, good the common.  It also seems that I am being urged to choose one of the two.  That can only mean one thing, Someone Cares!

Kill or Be Created

There is one thing in the wild that is truly terrifying, it is the law of survival of the fittest, kill or be killed, survival by chance.  No one can easily watch a lion catch and eat a baby gazelle or a male grizzly maul and eat a cub.  It is a sobering thing to watch a living thing kill another living thing by eating it.  Humans, even on our worst warring days, preserve a sense of rightness that is peculiar to us, a sacredness that is a true.  No time or chance can account for us rising so infinitely above the wild.  Raising that far would require an event, if not Creation, just as Miraculous.

Televised Zoo

There is nothing more inviting than the wild.  It holds such mystery and potential for discovery.  Modern man has long since abandoned the need for discovery.  He lives in his delusions that all has been found, what he has not stood upon can be fully experience digitally, as if the wild is nothing more than a televised zoo.  God has always been that Great Realm, that mystery that is both dangerous and alluring.  The garden, which the earth is mostly, is the place God first established to be with us.  East Tennessee remains for me the best of that garden.  God is not broadcast. Happy trails.
