I Can't Sculpt Water

We are without water today; I make a much better sculptor than plumber.  I find it rewarding, on occasion, to be without the basic necessities of life.  It allows me a fresh understanding of God’s wonderful grace.  But there is one vastly more meaningful result; I am made to confront my own apathy toward the plight of millions of my bothers and sisters around the world for which the need for fresh water is a daily worry.  “I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.”

And Crown Thy Good…?

We have long lived our delusion in front of the curtain of freedom and choice of women’s rights and sterile words like fetus and tissue.   In the last few weeks the veil has been lifted and behind is a bloody evil mess of such heinousness that all Americans stand condemned.  The blood of 53,000,000 children will not be washed away; there’s not enough water on planet earth*.  I am a fairly hardened human having laid waist deep in my own blood but even I could not watch the last video to its butcherous conclusion.

Every American, like myself, must confess and seek forgiveness for our own involvement in our country’s Holocaust.  Then we must actively engage in the process that will expose and end this evil.

* There is another veil that has been ripped in two from top to bottom and opened a way for all of us to be cleansed from our unrighteousness.  There is enough water there.  It’s called Living Water!

The Numbers Don't Add Up

90°+!  The earth should not be this hot.  The sun is 92,000,000,000 miles away and its heat is traveling through space which is  -455° Fahrenheit.*  So how does that heat travel through all that cold for all that far and still get to the south at a steamy 90°?

Probably tied to the Confederacy or Jimmy Carter!

Scorched Earth Praise

Summer has finally gained the upper hand on the earth.  The strength of spring is waning, trees are beginning to drop their shade, grass gives way to weed and flowers are fewer and fewer.  But earth will have a final word, HARVEST.  The crops this year are abundant and the very sun that will scorch earth dead will also play its part in giving up a plentiful yield of sustenance this fall.

Slurred Toast

Perhaps the greatest words ever penned begin, “For God so loved the world…”  It is this love that should ever identify His followers as being in His image.  Today we find it not in the joy filled life of the beloved but a great sorrowful weight of pain for the America we see crumbling around us blindly dashing its children upon the rocks and drunkenly slurring its toast, “and a good time was had by all!”
