Dead Sunflowers, Loud Walkers and Game Balls

When I played high school football I had a brief stint at quarterback.  Before each game it was my job to pick out the game ball from all the other balls.  The game ball was the ball that I believed I could perform the best with.  I was thinking about it this morning as I contemplated what I would write about.  I saw a dead sunflower on our porch and a couple of walkers came by talking loudly.  It made me think about dead flowers and live humans and how we are all on this game ball called earth.

We live on a beautiful form, a sphere we call earth, whose only reason for being, as far as I can tell, is to give us life.  This sphere along with the sphere’s moon and sun continually work to support human life.  An absolute truth is, each of us is alive because of these three spheres.  Life is a game played with three balls.

Who are we to thank for these game balls?
