A Glass Praise or There Are No Windows In Caves

Nothing is more indicative of Creation than the invention of windows.  We have an overwhelming need to live under the sun, in the garden, to be one with nature.  We also need to be dry when it rains, warm when its cold, safe when it storms.  Windows are a micro evolutionary adaptation within a set species.  Windows were invented to let light into our lives while keeping everything else at bay.  The fact that we get the bonus of seeing into the garden is a product of Devine Care in making sand melt transparent.  There are no windows in caves or closed minds.

Theophany: A special revelation of God’s presence through some discernible manifestation.

Life always depends on what you want to see.  No one can prove evolution and now many scientists have no confidence in the theory to explain the ongoing complexity of the cosmos.  It may be that evolutionary theory is best understood by Evolutionary Theophany.

Pain and Love

Pain is macro obsession, complete attention, focused awareness.  It compacts your world, eliminates all distractions, and forces its way.  It makes you single minded, terrifically sensitive, and awfully aware.  It crushes your existence and makes you ultimately alerted that you are alive. 

It also makes you think that you can change that first word to love and nothing else needs to be changed.

Every one has the seed of beauty planted in them.  It is what makes us stand in awe at a sunset or full moon, which makes us notice the flower or the smell of cut grass.  But it is the artist who is the most blessed, for whom God brings the seed to grow and bud into a beautiful rose or towering oak.

Plopping Down on LIFE ALERT

Solitude are the act of “plopping down” as I call it, is one of the most necessary acts of humanity.  Life can quickly become a continual “News Alert” as public media has now convinced us; there seems to be no news but “IMPORTANT NEWS: POLICE ARE IN A HIGH SPEED CHASE WITH A STREET SWEEPER IN DEL RAY CALIFORNIA AS HENRY ED TAKES US LIVE TO THE SCENE!!!” 

Are you living on “LIFE ALERT”?  Consider plopping down somewhere quiet today and listen to the birds sing, “…peace like a river”.
