Don't Worry; Your Wings Work

God will wean us from every thing for Himself and if all else fails will simply toss us from our nest.

Art, like all other things, is only safe as long as it is made in a sincere effort to know and serve Him.  That’s why there’s so very little of it in the community of the redeemed.

Webstering Our Faith And Our Art

The Holy Spirit was sent to guide us and empower us in Christ.  He is manifested in us by love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  It would be a good habit for artists and others to write down our definition of each of these manifestations because each of them is like the word art, open to interpretation.

Our art and our faith is only as strong as our understanding of the language used to define it; “In the beginning was the Word…”

We All Live As A Reply To God

Art, in the hands of one redeemed, becomes a method by which they works out the profound reality of their revealed, redeemed life.  It is critical that all art thinking, from their perspective, pass through the Book of Exodus where The Infinite God decided to give a specific, physical, created, object rich, materiality, The Tabernacle, to guide our relationship with Him.

All art is really a reply to that and artists, atheists or redeemed, create in response to that.

We Lost or Florida's Aquatic Center

We lost.  Loosing is not fun especially when you had it won but let it slip away.  So much of life slips away from us, relationships, experiences, and meanings as time marches on.  That is the awful thing about time; it always heals wounds but never allows us to regain that which has slipped away.  “You cannot step in the same river twice.”

That lazy, stinking, no count swamp they call a River Florida has moved on!!!

Drama In A Tiny Box

Reading the Noah story over and over.  Its complexity and meaning gets forgotten because we only recall the sweet stories of our childhood but all of life is contained in that tiny wooden box afloat in the vastness of what we now know as our cosmos.  Inside that boat is also all the conception of God and God’s personal relationship with man.  Seven people were all that stood between all knowledge of God and no knowledge of God.  So much drama inside a tiny wooden box, on a tiny little speck in all the vastness of the universe.

God sure has faith in us!!!

What Are You Doing?

Every new day that is witnessed holds an amount of potential equivalent to the potential of the human heart combining with the human brain given the vehicle of the human body.  That is an altar building reality.

Chuck Close, who became famous doing photorealism, suffered a spinal artery collapse
but still found a way to make his work and in my opinion, make it
better.
