Advent day sixteen waiting. You never know how God will come to you in your waiting. Yesterday was the third Sunday in Advent, another candle, the light, and warmth have now tripled, more to go around. In worship yesterday we sang The First Noel and for the first time I heard the line;
“And with his blood mankind has bought”
And then we sang the new Christmas song “Hallelujah, This is our God” and I heard the line;
“Recklessly, wildly loving a dangerous world”
I sit in the very great darkness of the wilderness of Fair Haven, no lights out here, and look at our dark Advent Wreath and realize that blood and danger and darkness and waiting will all end with the coming of The Wild Love. I love the names of Our Wildly Loving Savior.
NOTE:
While doing research this morning for my blog I also learned that our song leader, Travis Cottrell, wrote the song Hallelujah This Is Our God. God is so good.
