The Great Coming Of The Rest Of The Story

Advent day twenty waiting.  I have been reminded all week of the Annunciation, the Angelic announcement to Mary that she will become pregnant with Baby God.  The thing that strikes me most about this story is not only how Protestants play down Mary’s role in the story but how little even the Bible makes of it, a few short verses in the Gospel of Luke.  But as I have pondered it I have come to realize that the story is so magnificent that a library couldn’t contain it.  We, as humans, are unable to comprehend the Divine realm of God, His thoughts and ways are beyond our understanding so there is no need for a prolonged explanation, it just wouldn’t do any good.  However one of the great wonders of God and of Scripture including the Annunciation is that God made us imaginer’s, which allows all faithful hearts to dwell in wandering imagination at what really happened.  One thing for sure there is definitely going to be a lot of “Rest of the Story” time in heaven.
