JUST START

Do you ever want to put your head in your hands and weep; to cry out in despair at all the hurt, all the pain, all the death?  Sometimes listening to Elton John’s Norma Jean, I do.  The sadness that we are so often drugged into and then held there by our media like a heinous hand holding us under dark water.  What are we to do?  Stop it!  Stop not liking people; stop talking bad about people, stop blaming and being unkind.  Just stop it.  And stop listening to it.  Just stop it.  AND START.  Read the Bible even if you don’t believe it read it anyway, start in the Gospel of John, its really good reading about how to be kind.  Talk to God even if you believe He doesn’t exist.  Just tell him exactly how you are; just tell Him.  Start writing poetry, start drawing and making art and looking at clouds overhead.  Kiss your lover, make a painting, write a song, walk in the woods, bake a cake, climb a mountain.  Go see your neighbor, walk across the street and take them the cake.  Get their paper on the way and give it to them.  Wave at everyone that drives by your yard, smile at everyone that you see.  Just stop being connected to all the insanity and start sharing your sanity.  BE KIND.  Make it your habit to be kind.  Just do it.

Goodbye England's Rose
