Prepping For The Prom

I love the formal prepping God requires of humans when we are declaring we believe in Him.  In the book of Leviticus God lays out every act and action the people must do in order to practice their faith, their belief, that He is Who He says He is.  We have every reason to make all our actions be this prepping, this declarative living that God is.  Art making is ripe with this potential, brimming and budding with opportunities and giving us every chance to flourish in living well.  A metaphor may be in order.  Remember how you prepped for the prom, every detail mattered from your hair to your shoes, making for intensely lived meaning.  Such is a daily prep for acknowledging God is and that your Prom Date is waiting at your heart's door.  Let the dance begin.
