An Artist Must Limit The Voices In His Head

This is not a religious statement; I am the most genuinely sincere when I am reading The Ancient Text in the morning.  All seems, as it should be.  That is the reason for and for making art, to discover the genuine rightness of something, to know the world as it was meant to be, the truth of it.  I am afraid this “rightness” is becoming more difficult to discover because there are so many voices making claims of rightness and technology allows us to be attentive to many of them.  Another cause is that the world believes in individual rightness, that every thing has its own rightness that creates a universal rightness.  I believe just the opposite, that there is a Universal Rightness, which exclusively provides for the rightness of all.  This issue is critical for the artist because it marks for him the place he must begin.
