There are days when there is nothing to do, no duties to perform
or responsibilities to meet. These days
are precious gifts filled with silence and solitude. On these days you hear and see more and ponder
and praise more because you are aware of the multitude of good things to think
on and reasons to praise. These days you
get to be fully you, your senses calm enough to have eyes that see and ears
that hear, your heart soft enough to be molded and your soul gentle enough to
receive the Molder’s Hand. Silence and
solitude, combined with beauty, the earth, the river, and the sky creates you
avail-able for Holy Communion.
