Whispers on 3-D and Dead Birds

As I was walking yesterday morning I passed a dead bird on the road.  It had been flattened by traffic and baked dry by the sun.  I had walked several steps passed it before I stopped, walked back and picked it up.  There was a single blue feather that identified it for me as Blue Jay.  I looked at it and was immediately reminded of the saying I had often heard in school, “two dimensional art is a lie parading as the truth,” meaning that all two dimensional art is of three-dimensional objects.  I marveled at the object in my hand, a Relic in need of a Reliquary.  This was no Blue Jay but a two-dimensional lie parading as a Blue Jay.  The Blue Jay had flown away to God and left behind a love note to the heart of an artist Redeemed.  I never cease to be quietly staggered by the Sweet Whisper of His Holiness.
