Turning Off The Slow Boiling Pot

Summer is steaming away like a slow boiling pot on a mild stove.  Its heat though is waning and early mornings are beginning to hint that fall is coming.  There will be more steam and heat to bank up against us but finally, oh finally there is the sense that summer is in its last days.
