Community Discipline

I have thought a lot about community of late.  A community is such a special gift but should never be taken for granted.  Community discipline is critical to the well being of any community.  Each member is responsible to every other member, first to discipline themselves in faithfulness and trust and secondly to hold others in the community to the same.  Faith and trust in community is everyone’s responsibility and if ignored individually or corporately your community is only as strong as its weakest link.  If however each member is committed to the well being of the community above and before themselves then the weakest link does not exist.  In this community of trust and faithfulness the community is always as strong as all the members combined.  Community discipline is the only way in which real community can flourish.
