A month ago while walking in the mountains, two large
dogs attacked my wife and me. Immediately
I raised my hands and growled like a beast, which brought the dogs and me to a
stalemate. I often find myself thinking
about that situation. I had a gun in my
pocket but didn’t even think about it. I
was instantaneously and without thought, transformed into the meanest and
wildest beast in the mountains; my hands were above my head, I was hunched over
and I was moving toward these dogs roaring like a wild beast, and all that I
know is that at that moment I was a wild beast.
What makes me think about it so much is that I was truly transformed and
that it seemed as natural as holding my first born son. That is it, the instantaneous naturalness of
it. God is full of glory!
