Luke 15-17
‘And the apostles
said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!’” 17:5
How does Christ respond to their question?
“He does
not thank the slave because he did the things which were commanded does he?”
17:9
Christ says, ‘Do your job and don’t expect thanks!’
Doesn’t nicely fit into our culture of affirmation where
everyone gets a trophy even if you loose.
In life and faith, you don’t get a trophy for loosing or for doing your
job.
