There is such a graven image cast upon our culture, the image of
self-righteousness preening in technology’s ability to disseminate our
self. The ability to cast our vision,
our self, and our opinion worldwide is intoxicating and creates in many of us
the idea that we are the truth. The biggest
problem with this is that most of what is being shared is not well informed but
only self informed, self-feeding on information that enlarges self. A stead diet of this gruel and we become our
own reality show, our 600-pound graven image of self. I once heard that Jesus was a mirror that
showed us our true self. Technology is a
mirror that shows us our self as true.
It is not lost on me that this blog is underscoring this
blog.
