Not Crying With Great Sincerity

There is a sense that occurs where one is moved to believe they are standing upon Holy or sacred ground.  I prefer the Holy for it proposes what I believe is the most profound truth of humanity; we are not alone.  I have experienced this sense of being present in The Presence on a few occasions.  When I was a child I first felt it in Haleys Grove Baptist Church in Crab Orchard TN when I would go alone to visit my dad as he studied there.  It occurred again one night years later while laying awake in my family’s tent at Gettysburg.  It occurred to me again yesterday as Betty and I sat alone in Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta GA.  It seems that the older I get the more deeply I am captured by it and only by the most supreme effort am I able not to cry with great sincerity.
