I was re-reading David’s story in Chronicles as the author shares the story of his love for God and his bumbling tragic sins against God. No whitewash here, just the plain truth of a man—like our own truth discovered by those brave enough to actually examine their life. God’s greatness is often revealed in the way He sticks with us in our worst times, times after He has so blessed us and cared for ours and then we bumbling, return to our self-centered and sinful ways. That is God’s love, so persistent and consistent, such a wonderful gift, to invite us time after time, to return from the sty, and live wealthily with Him.
