Not the right stuff being Being the Right Stuff

Artists are intensely engaged in material, always seeking desperately to find the one material which is perfectly suited to carry the burden of our ideas. When God wanted to express love His material of choice was flesh and blood and consciousness, making humans.  His idea, love, needed a material that could carry the burden and humans seemed like we could bear up under that idea.  We could not.  So God, again finding flesh, blood and consciousness ideal, made Himself human and the art of love was realized in perfection in Christ, the human God.  Why God was compelled to make the first idea I do not know; “What is man that Thou are mindful of him?”  But it’s hard to argue with His material.

Artists are also great at repurposing material to make it say what we want it to say.  So is God in His Holy Spirit form Whose task is to repurpose humans to our intended purpose.
