Humans are goofy and goofy is the only word that
actually fits. Reading in Genesis the
account of how Jacob got all twelve of his children by four different
wives, the Keystone Cops of
families. Jesus with us means he often
shakes His Devine Head at us in exasperation as He lives with our
goofyness. All humans are goofy and the
more we think we are not the more we are.
This past weekend’s wedding reminded me of the delight God has in His
creation’s goofyness. The joy of being
with the goofy is a joy of God being with me, The Chief of Goofy.
