I know the world must go on and
so the cosmos but there does seem to be lost the idea that man ought to be
somewhat slowing down, easing off, kinder and even hedging his bets a bit—it is
Christmas. But the mad mob in
Washington and those that see it as their home team go blindly on beating the
drum, firing the gun and twitting the twitter.
Can we have some obligatory peace and quiet from that corner of our home? Already banned to the corner you would think
they could sit quietly for a moment while the rest of us easy wearily up to the
stable for another loving and longingly look at Our Savior, contemplate our
coming salvation, peacefully stare at the Advent Candles aglow, and be made softly
merry in our hearts at all the good and grace that this season remind us
of.
