In my Meditations this
morning I read that;
“Birds did not get wings so
that they could fly. We do not have eyes
so that we can read. Instead, eyes,
wings, and the rest of life’s wonder have come about as a side effect of life
itself. Living things struggle to
survive…”
Carl Zimmer, author
Even atheists, more often
than not, speak praise to God. If the
stones will praise Him, there is no way something as wonderful as a human being
can do otherwise. Marveling in prose at
the creation is all out praise to the Creator.
But then the writer declares;
“We’re so used to seeing
agents behind everything that we struggle to recognize life as a side
effect. I think we would do well to
overcome the urge to see agents where there are none.”
Can you imagine see a humming
bird and not seeing the Agent but by faith climbing aboard a 747 because the
agent Boeing is written on the side?
