I do not know if this is true of all
vocations for I have not tried them all; but it is true of mine. Art will very well replace God if allowed for
it often requires all of me, my heart, mind, soul and certainly my
strength. It might be that this is the
only way to truly know if you are an artist, if it has this ability in
you. And it may be the only way to truly
know your faith in Christ if you know it is only Him that is capable of
creating any love in your heart. Making
then become an act of grateful thanksgiving and fails in its attempt to be your
only mistress.
