Sanctified

I am teaching on the sanctity of life this Sunday.  Sanctity means sacred or holy in this case meaning all human life, including the child in the womb, is sacred.  We do not make ourselves sacred.  We do not make life.  We, by absolutely and complete grace, are allowed to participate in the process but we do not create life.  Life is sacred because it is sanctified, or made sacred, by the same Being that creates it.    One great truth in all of this, one that we often miss, is that you, me, we are sacred and holy as well.  By winning the lottery of all lotteries, getting to be a human being, we are sanctified, made holy in the only way anything is made holy, by The Creator who creates us as a human life.  Our role is to accept His Holiness as our own.  We will never truly value human life until we realize Who makes us valuable and just how valuable They know we are.  At that point, it’s a whole new ball game, a game of Sanctity, where every human, born or unborn, is Sanctified!

Reading to our little holies.
