Does the government really need me as its ambassador to build a wall? Do I really need the government to be my ambassador to show compassion to the “aliens” of this world? These are not two exclusive views. The government has a responsibility to protect me; I have a responsibility to protect the “least of these” on earth. I need not represent the government’s role no more than the government needs to represent mine. 2 Corinthians 5:20.
