Last night I rested under the stars and gazed at the Big Dipper. Have been doing it for years. I wondered about what Adam or Columbus thought
when they looked upon a dark night sky and saw these seven stars? A dipper is a hopeful object filled with
content of serving, bounty, of water at the well and plenty. This dipper always moves me to reverence; its
ladle seems filled with grace, seven stars of plenty hanging above the (h)earth
on the wall of the cosmos.
