The View From Our Recliner

I can observe from my recliner that outside my kitchen window there are lots of limbs and trunks, brightly lit, and tiny patches of blue between.  From my recliner there is much I can believe, it is clear in my woods, trees are out there, no leaves means winter etc.  But I cannot live in full reward of wisdom and understanding until I force myself from my chair of ease and actually go outside to explore.  And my initial exploration teaches me that there is more to learn in just my small area of West Tennessee than I could ever accomplish in my lifetime.  What then am I to think of planet earth or the cosmos?  Such is our life in Christ.  Most of us are content to sit in our churches once or twice a week as the only means by which we are to know God.  Yet He offers us a personal relationship with Himself.  Church attendance is perhaps the smallest window of opportunity to know God Almighty.  It is the recliner that allows us to see The Window.
