An Overwhelming Sense Of Honor

I have been studying the story of Peter and Cornelius in the Bible, the end result was Cornelius being baptized.  During my studies I read the following by Theodore P. Ferris, “Next, they were baptized, for things of the Spirit crave to become articulate in tangible forms.”  Such a beautifully simple explanation of a profoundly complicated truth.  From this truth we got Eden, The Tabernacle, Altars, and many other “tangible forms” including most of the western history of art.  Having your job description be explaining the things of The Spirit” should give all artists an overwhelming sense of honor.

One of the first Altars our family ever built somewhere high on Black Mountain.
