So much of Christmas
has been replaced with Macy’s and Wal-Mart even family and friend as we grasp
for any consciousness of being to spare us from having to face the great legend
that God came to earth as a human being and lived among us. That truth stuns us so that the real truth
that He came to save us by taking on all our wrongness on Himself, dying on a
cross, rising on the third day, went back to heaven where He waits till His
Father commands Him to come and get us is so utterly striking that one can see
why family or Wal-Mart might be a sanity saving compromise. Either this whole Christmas season is the
greatest global insanity or it is the Greatest Event in the history of the
Universe. If it be fact let us all spend
adequate time in contemplating The Joy and Wonder of Christmas.
