Check Your Mirror

Amos 8-9

“Behold, days are coming,”

         declares the Lord God,

“When I will send a famine on

         the land

Not a famine for bread or a thirst

         for water,

But rather for hearing the

         words of the Lord.”  8:11

Do you crave The Words of the Lord?

“Like newborn infants, desire the pure spiritual milk, so that you many grow by it for your salvation.”  1 Peter 2:2

Why the big deal for craving The Words of the Lord?

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praise of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”  1 Peter 2:9

We may want to check the mirror before we leave the house this morning.  Make sure we look like Who we represent.   Some of us may look like we dressed in the dark instead of His marvelous light!!!
