Jeremiah 24-27
Jeremiah is arrested, accused
and tried for treason. Why? Because he prophesied the doom of the
nations under the conquering armies of Babylon.
Do you realize how much we rely
on prophets and prophesy today? We
call them Forecasters or prognosticators.
We have economic forecasters, geopolitical and civil unrest
prognosticators, weather forecasters and others all who are educated and paid
to predict the future.
That’s one reason to believe or
at least investigate the claims of God and Christ because no other book, in the
history of mankind, has proved so accurate in its predictions of the future
than the Bible. Time, place,
people and event, time after time, the Bible’s record speaks for itself.
If it continues in its
unblemished forecasting record there’s a doosy brewing. We may want to read the Bible before we
decide what we believe.
