Jeremiah 46-48
In this great city church bells
begin at 7 a.m. and ring every quarter hour. We visited several churches yesterday. Primordial and dark, holy air, sacred
and quiet that only ancient stones can bear. Hallowed spaces carving out a sacred thread of continued
holiness through the ages to Eden and beyond to God Himself. Empty churches filled only with the
Spirit of the Ages because all of us, “like sheep, have gone astray, each of us
has turned to his own way.”
Isaiah 53:6
Today’s reading says, “My (God)
heart moans like flutes....” for the nations that sit under His destructive judgment
for turning from Him.
Oh if these bells had voices!!!
