What Is Praise?

When I began to pray and adore God it seems that I am always short handed, that there is nothing worthy of Him not even my human praise.  What do You ask of me but my heart but what is its value to You that own and control all the cosmos?  Even my heart, even it alive, and thus would surely die if I took it from me and gave to You, seems unworthy and unseemly.  What is it that makes You You and needful of anything that is me?  Praise be to God you know because for the life of me, even my heart, I do not!!!
