“So speak and so act, as those who are to be judged by the law of
liberty.” James 2:12
“The entrance into heaven is a
result of the work which Christ alone did, yet the enjoyment of heaven and its
rewards will be proportionate to what the believer did for Christ in his life
of faith on earth. Salvation is
undeserved mercy obtained by man because of Christ’s work, but the rewards are
given in proportion to the believer’s mercifulness on earth.”
At times the footnote is clearer
than the Word and all the more indicting.
