John 17-19
The human body is a divine gift and a solemn curse. When we are conceived we are given one
and by it we experience life and the joys of being alive. However we are also locked in it fully
aware that it is marching us lock step to its destiny, death.
Jesus knew this greatest irony.
‘When
Jesus therefore had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head, and gave up His
spirit.”’ 19:30
