Job 17-22
Job carries the day today. If you have read this passage you
realize the torrent of torment Jobs friends are lashing across his soul.
But deep within Job’s being lies
a truth that nothing can tear out.
It’s deeper than his anguish of losing all his children. It’s deeper than losing his
health. It’s deeper than his wife
turning from him. It’s deeper than
his friend’s accusations of evil.
It’s even deeper than his own understanding.
His inner being is ripped bloody
open and what do we find?
“And as for me, I know that
my
Redeemer lives,
And at the last He will take His
stand
on the earth.
Even after my skin is
destroyed,
Yet from my flesh I shall
see
God” 19:25-26
Blood soaked and horror filled
but at the core the most sparkling diamond of faith.
