Fishing With God

You make him (humans) to rule over the works of Your hands;

You have put all things under his feet,

All sheep and oxen,

And also the beasts of the field,

The birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea,

Whatever passes through the paths of the seas.

                  Psalms 8:6-8

It is one thing to pen this Psalm when your greatest technology is a fish hook but another when you can drag net millions of fish in an afternoon.  Our technology today has given us a dominion that is frightening when placed in the hands of people who would not acknowledge the first verse of this Psalm;

“O Lord, our Lord.

How majestic is your name in all the earth.”

As believers we should keep in mind another line in this same Psalm;

“What is man that You (God) take thought of him?”

and remember the truth that God is keeping thoughts of us!
