“We are ambassadors for Christ, as
though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be
reconciled to God.”; “It is for freedom
that Christ set us free…”; “…one God and
Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.”; “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say
rejoice.”
II Corinthians 5:20, Galatians 5:1,
Ephesians 4:6, Philippians 4:4
Christmas is about being free to be
ourselves. We are most like our true
selves when we are loving God and loving others. That “loving” is God’s appeal made through us
and what we are set free to do. It
solves all our problems from Ferguson to immigration, abortion to ecology, relations
with Cuba to relations with our neighbor.
But loving’s greatest manifestation in us is that we rejoice in Him who
made us this free, The Lord, The New Born King.
God I am grateful for Your freedom
and rejoice today!
