Adoration 10

"But He was pierced through for our transgressions.  He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well being fell on Him, and by His scourging we are healed." 
Isaiah 53:5

Christmas is about God knowing our pain.  Have you ever hurt so bad you expected the earth to acknowledge it.  Death does that.   When a loved one dies I want it to rain or stars to fall or clouds to lay down on the earth.  God knows how we feel.  When He sent His Son to earth He knew that someday He was going to have to experience the piercing, crushing, scourging death of His Son and that pain was going to want some cosmic acknowledgement.  "Now from the sixth hour darkness fell upon all the land..."  Matthew 27:45

Pain so true light put itself out. 

God I am grateful that You have experienced how humans feel when loved ones die.
