Dawn's Full Bag of Candy

I often feel that life is so marvelous that I must try and be conscious of its every gift.  I am very much sure that only when I gave over authority of my life To Another did I become fully aware of life.  There are a limited number of dawns in any one’s life.  We should see as many as we can.

PS: Dawn is one of the greatest gifts of hope and hope is certainly one great gift. 

PS:  Some times we are so overjoyed by God’s answer that we forget to thank Him, like running down the street happily clutching our bag of candy and forgetting to thank The Man that just bought it for us. (from one of my Dad's sermons)

There's Within My Heart A Melody

This morning I awoke to a bird singing outside the window.  It was a gentle song, three soft cords, repeat.   I lay there thinking it had been a while since I had heard a birdsong in the morning and wondered on that.  All birds have been silent waiting on this bird to sing God’s message and our constant refrain, “God’s got this!”  Repeat. 

ILU; Intensive Life Unit

The relativity of life is never more apparent than in an Intensive Care Unit.  Life is clearly focused and the truths of life are plainly seen.  Great victories are breathing, the magnificent intricacy of human life is meticulously examined, human beings move from earth to eternity in silent routine, and life, the purity of being alive, is sincerely celebrated.    

The Silence of God

Silence is often the gift of God to those that suffer.  It is the environment in which His still, small voice can be heard.  Silence is the dominate state of the earth.  It is the silence of nature, filled with the sounds of the wind in the trees, the birds at their song and the stream upon the rock that is the greater quiet, quieter still than the utter soundlessness of the cosmos. 

New Normal Rejoicing

Our new normal?  Yes we are in a new state of being and every moment is new and radically different than it was last Monday morning February 27^th.  There are many things that we could focus on today but the one that God keeps bringing to mind is that we can rejoice that He gave Mary Elizabeth to us and no other family and the greater joy is the peace that comes from knowing that none of us WOULD HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY.  “This is day the Lord has made, (for us) Let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
