We have a problem; I

We have a problem.  It is not Dallas or Louisiana.  It is not Democrat or Republican.  It is not black or white or police or government.  It is not Muslim or atheist.  It is not Mr. Trump or Mrs. Clinton or Fox News or CNN.  It is not the rich.  It is not guns or the NRA or Black Lives Matter or the Tea Party or Occupy Democrat.  Our problem is I.  I am a scoundrel.  And I need help.  There is only one solution for me and it has two commands and each command begins with the word Love.  Until I take each command seriously and pledge my greatest efforts to both there is no hope for me.

An absolute truth; every human being is just like me.

Just do it!

To Be Alive You Must Participate

I am sitting in the forest hidden from me by the trees.  I know the mountains march away from me like waves because I am on the side of one.  But really I am in a small cluster of trees, maybe two hundred, that are like blinders to me.  They hold all the sounds and smells of great mountains but by faith does the wilderness exist.  To know it’s there I must participate; I have to get up and walk into it.

Our alive son-in-law Bosephus.

Our Sunday Church

There are primordial streams, streams whose power has washed away deep earth to uncover the ancient boulders.  These boulders were buried at The Great Creation, then slowly uncovered and polished smooth by eternal waters.  We so carelessly sit on stones that have seen a million winters as if we were sitting on a porch bench.  If it were not for The Creator I would be hard pressed not to worship these streams and stones.  These streams are sacred isles and these boulders hallowed pews and we truly are in The House of God.

An Indulgence Please

A Reunion Psalm For Betty
There was a singular beauty deep and sincere unlike any earthly one I have ever known and by grace she became mine in love unfathomable.  This union has multiplied into 14 for reasons only founded in the depths of God’s heart.  We would call the first four of the fourteen forward and say “Our love is for naught if it is not founded in each of you and produce a hundred fold.”  We have faith.  We would call the three spouses forward and say; “Our love is all for naught if our Foundation is not sewn into your offspring and produce a hundred fold.”  We have faith.  We would call the first five offspring forward and say, “On your shoulders now rest all the weight of The Glory of the Benson family.  Our love is all for naught if you do not produce a hundred fold.”  We have faith.  Last we will call The Great Beginning forward and say, “Our love is all for naught if You do not prove faithful and in us and all to come You produce a hundred fold.”  We have faith.  And then on old, bent, gnarled knees I would bow down to The Great Beginning and say, “Praise You God Almighty for giving that singular beauty, deep and sincere, Betty Brown, to me.”

Family Reunions Keep You Warm And Improves Your Vision

I am heart deep in our family reunion burrowed in the hillbilly hollows of the Smoky Mountains.  Family is a bunch of odd balls and misfits that love each other more than they love themselves.  A great family truth; love between spouses is the glowing embers of the fire that keep the older family warm and lights the way for the younger ones.

A Short Thought On Our Presidential Race

A simulacrum means something vaguely similar and Americans are neck deep in it.  Let me give you an example.  There is the earth, dirt, rock, and tree.  We bulldoze the earth to make it the shape we want.  We build a house.  We install a heater, air conditioner and thermostat.  We buy blinds and curtains.  We buy a lamp.  We buy a recliner.  We buy a flat screen TV.  We sit and watch the National Geographic special on the earth.

Another example?  Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders as President of the United States.
