Science says that the most beautiful theories and solutions are those that are the most simple.  “God is love” seems to explain everything. 

The Main Reason To Be An Artist

To be aware of beauty is to be aware of God.  Natural beauty cannot be matched by human artistic efforts.  It allows us only two places, wonder and worship.  Our responsibility is to learn to Whom our wonder and worship belong!  One of the greatest achievements of beauty is the creation of gratefulness in the observer.  One of the greatest acts of gratefulness in the observer is to become an artist.

It is a great weight to know that you will begin to hold the minds, hearts and spirits of young people for a considerable length of time (a semester).  You have the opportunity to present to them a path so grand that their minds, hearts and spirits, at present, cannot imagine; a path that only you know because you are the only one to have trod it.  The opportunities that a college education will offer are as vast as the stars above but so many of those that are afforded one fritter it away like dust.  How do you offer someone all the stars above in a way that they are aware they are in the Cosmos Candy Store and not in grade 13.

Every Night Comes With A Dawn

I have often found dawn to be stronger than any drug in curing the emotional ills of the mind.  God be praised that every night comes with one. 

We Can Choose To Be The One In A Hundred Million Human

One of the greatest pitfalls of man is to choose not to be alive.  To be alive is to choose a life of discipline, sacrifice and hard work.  Life is the greatest concept and conscious life is the greatest gift.  Unfortunately it is as Thoreau stated, only one in a million will choose it.  The great misfortune today that I suspect was untrue in Thoreau’s day, is that popular culture is continually lulling us to sleep and now it has been coupled with technology, which makes it like anesthesia. 

The greatest key to being alive is to choose daily, sometimes moment by moment, to live in personal communion and relationship with God.
