Adoration 5

“…but they have rejected Me (God) from being king over them…”; “And David realized that the Lord had established him as king…”;  “As for you (Solomon)…I (God) will establish the throne of your kingdom…”1 Samuel 8:8,  2 Samuel 5:12, 1 Kings 9:45

Christmas is about Kings and kingdoms.  The greatest earthly kingdom ever conceived is your heart.  A persons heart has almost unlimited capability for animating our lives for greatness.  The problem is that humans make poor kings.   We need a King worthy of our kingdom.  Christ is that King!

Adoration 4

“Now therefore fear the Lord and serve Him…”;  “In those days…every man did what was right in his own eyes”;  “Your people shall be my people and your God, my God.”
Joshua 24:14, Judges 17:6, Ruth 1:16

Christmas is God’s final offer of choice.  He always allows us to choose Him as Lord or ourselves as lord, He can be our God or we can be our god.  Christmas makes it easy, Human God or human god, take our pick because “unto us a child is born…mighty God.”

Adoration 3

“Surely all the men who have seen My glory…”, “Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His loving kindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments.”
Numbers 14:22a, Deuteronomy 7:9

Christmas is seeing the Glory of God in human form, Christ the Living Son of God.  Jesus lived the proof that God is real, faithful and filled with loving kindness to all.  As we daily accept God by keeping His commandments we are joined with Him through The New Covenant who came wrapped in swaddling clothes.

God I am so grateful that You showed us Yourself in human form.

Adoration 2

“Then the Lord said, ‘I have surely seen the affliction of my people…’”, “You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.”
Exodus 3:7, Leviticus 19:2

Christmas is all about God seeing us in our true state, sinfully afflicted, and His mysterious determination to save us.  However Holiness stands in the way!  We cannot be Holy.  God sent His Son, His only Son, to heal our affliction by becoming Holiness for us and then to be Holiness in us.

God I am grateful for this season that reminds me that You saw my affliction and offered Your Baby Son for my holiness.

Adoration 1

“In the beginning God…”  We love beginnings, a new start, a new day, a new life.  Christmas is the greatest new beginning, it is the beginning of a New Covenant between God and us, me the individual being given a free personal relationship with God through His Son, Christ the coming New Born King.

God I am very thankful for the season that reminds me that You began anew to offer Yourself to us in a Being that we can all understand, A Baby in a manger.
